The
MRC Seeds plant research and breeding
team was initiated by Late Mr. Mirza Saleem Baig,
M. Sc. (Agriculture) who was widely respected
as one of the foremost breeder in the
field of cotton breeding.
The
emphasis has been on developing high yielding
strains with tolerance to various diseases
and pests of cotton to bring down the
cost of production and thereby increase
profits for the farmers.
